Congratulations to the Pennwood Team for putting on a fantastic event for the Premier today Friday the 16th June 2017.
In particular I want to acknowledge the hard work of the Kitchen staff Senada was amazing impressing the SA Premier Jay Weatherill and Hon Mark Butler MP on arrival with her traditional homemade bread, Pogaca dipped in salt on arrival, washed down with a Sljivovica,a plum brandy.
Particularly good on a cold wet rainy Adelaide morning, We met in the Village square with all the home comforts surrounded by amazing food, cheese, meat and potato pita. Traditional Serbian coffee and fine teas prepared by Jenny and the lifestyle team in our best china.
The Board and staff mingled and conversation had an air of excitement as we were all delighted to welcome home and host the SA Premier and MP Mark Butler in their very own electorate area. Who better than the proud Serbs 92 year old Damjan Trivunovic and Milinko Rakich at 98 years old displaying Commonwealth medals of proud Serbs talking about their amazing lifestyles.
Thanks to Mary O’ Toole and Vicky from MAC for facilitating and scribing. The Board did a great job Speed Dating and engaging the staff on important issues vital for our future direction.
Thanks again for all the staff who took the time out to have their say. We also enjoyed Frank Naso discuss the importance of future partnerships for small CALD communities. A beautiful seafood platter was offered for lunch was some more great Serbian home made cakes.
Dani McKenna from Ubercare discussed price drivers, electronic apps and her model of care and how short sharp serves also can fit into aged care and worth considering partnering to fill gaps in RAS and CHSP packages for Home Care.
